- Please do not eat candy or food or bring any drink other than water.
- You can only learn if you ACTIVELY listen!
- Please clean up your work area at the end of each class period. Remain at your desk until the bell rings. Do not stand at the door!
- Most assignments are turned in using Google Classroom. If you must print, make sure your name is in the upper left corner.
- Please bring all NECESSARY MATERIALS!
- Do your own work. If you need help, I am happy to help you. If someone helps you, that is great, but they are not allowed to do it for you!
Remote Learning Rules:
- Please have your microphone off and your video on. I must be able to see you at all times.
- Bathroom breaks are only during passing periods. ONLY in an emergency will this be acceptable.
- Please do not eat while in Google Meet. We are not allowed, so neither should you be.
- Remember that you are on camera and live. I can see what you are wearing and your facial expression and some students can, too. Find a quiet place in your house and make it your school place. Dress appropriately, following school dress codes (no pajamas please!!).
- You are not anonymous. Be mindful of your expressions, speaking tones, and what you say. Your voice and video are viewed by everyone participating in the conference. Other people in your house can hear what you and others in the video conference are saying. Please be respectful.
- Follow the same classroom rules that you would follow in real life. Listen to me when I am teaching and take turns to speak. Be kind and considerate.
- Think before you speak. Stay on topic. Make sure your comments are clear and appropriate to the conversation. Don’t say anything you wouldn't say in the actual classroom.
- Be a good listener. Take the time to listen to what people are saying. Don’t interrupt others.
- Think before you type. If I enable the Chat feature you may be able to participate by typing into a chat box. Choose your words carefully. Use appropriate spelling and grammar. Stay on topic. Don’t use sarcasm or humor that could be misunderstood. Don’t type in all caps.
- Take it slow. Remote learning is probably a new experience for you. Resist the impulse to be silly or to say or type the first thing that comes into your mind.
- Video conferencing is a privilege. If you cannot use it responsibly your access to school managed video conferencing tools will be removed.
Assignments and Excused Absentee Policy:
- No trips to lockers for assignments or needed materials.
- If excused absence, you have one day for each day missed to makeup the work, unless it is a prolonged absence. If so, arrangements will be made.
- Known assignments, including quizzes and tests previously scheduled, are due on the day you return.
- It is your responsibility to get makeup work and complete it within the given time period. Check out Google Classroom for assignments.
